چکیده
Abstract The exponential growth of interconnected IoT devices, highlights the infrastructure limitations Cloud-based computing approaches. In this context, novel solutions (i.e., Fog and Edge computing) aim to exploit a continuum resource space composed nearby mobile devices as single heterogeneous distributed system move part computation closer data sources. regard, nature these (performance, features, capabilities...) requires proper programming models run-time management layers. This chapter proposes an overview recent modeling premises quantitative results in perspective through BarMan framework, which combines task-based model, manager, BeeR task distribution software deploy use-case applications-modules across boards real cluster.

متن کاملScalable Resource Management in Cloud Computing
The exponential growth of data and application complexity has brought new challenges in the distributed computing field. Scientific applications are growing more diverse with various workloads, including traditional MPI high performance computing (HPC) to fine-grained loosely coupled many-task computing (MTC). Traditionally, these workloads have been shown to run well on supercomputers and high...
متن کاملIntegrated modeling and solving the resource allocation problem and task scheduling in the cloud computing environment
Cloud computing is considered to be a new service provider technology for users and businesses. However, the cloud environment is facing a number of challenges. Resource allocation in a way that is optimum for users and cloud providers is difficult because of lack of data sharing between them. On the other hand, job scheduling is a basic issue and at the same time a big challenge in reaching hi...
